Heating Stage for Nanomaterials
Developed a precision heating stage for nanomaterials research, capable of reaching high, uniform temperatures while maintaining optical access for real-time photoluminescence measurements. The system uses an AlN heater, PTFE and aluminum housing, integrated O-ring sealing, and an XY translation stage for accurate sample positioning. I designed the full CAD assembly, thermal model, and electronics, ensuring stable operation, minimal heat loss, and compatibility with UCSD’s nanomaterials imaging and spectroscopy workflows.
